The US men’s soccer team changed its badge from the red one to the rainbow in their training facility.
Rainbow stripes are also the color of Pride flag and signify support for the LGBTQ+ community. They will be playing in Qatar, where homosexual relationships are illegal.
The redesign is part “Be The Change”The campaign was started by the team in 2020.

The US Soccer rainbow badge, which is not new, has been used on many occasions prior to the World Cup.
It will not be worn on-the-field by the US Soccer team, but displayed in the media area.
Although many people praised the US men’s football team’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ community and some left-wingers laughed at the campaign,

However, US Soccer supports the redesign of the badge.
“Our rainbow badge has an important and consistent role in the identity of US Soccer,”Neil Buethe, US Soccer spokesperson said Reuters.
“As part of our approach for any match or event, we include rainbow branding to support and embrace the LGBTQ community, as well as to promote a spirit of inclusiveness and welcoming to all fans across the globe.”
“As a result, locations that we will manage and operate at the FIFA World Cup, such as the team hotel, media areas, and parties, will feature both traditional and rainbow US Soccer branding,”Buethe was also included.
