The two airports in Moscow were shut down for a ‘drone attack’ just hours after a Russian nuclear bomber struck causing damage to its air base.

Two Moscow airports were closed down due to a “drone” threat, hours after an supersonic bomber had been damaged by a missile attack on an airbase.

Tass reported the temporary closure of all airports in Russia’s capital, Domodedovo and Vnukovo.

At around the same hour this morning, five people were injured by a drone on Kursk Train Station in Western Russia.

The social media showed footage of a huge explosion that engulfed the entire station and the shattered windows inside, as the police responded.

Both airports in Moscow were unable to accept any flights.

The planes, it was reported, were being diverted to Sheremetyevo which is more than fifty miles away.

After a Kamikaze drone attack deep within Russian territory damaged one of Vladimir Putin’s most prized warplanes on Saturday, there were fears of an imminent attack.

The drone that allegedly used to carry out the attack at the Novgorod Military Airport, more than 730 miles away from Ukraine was described as a helicopter-style drone.

According to reports, aircraft that survived the attack are being transferred to an airport in Murmansk.

According to the Russian Defence Ministry, “the Kyiv government carried out a terror attack on an airfield military in Novgorod Region using a UAV-type copter.”

The fire brigades were able to quickly put out the fire in the aircraft park after the terrorist attack.

The terrorist attack resulted in the damage of one plane, but no injuries.

It was thought that the damaged jet could be a Tu-22M3 nuclear bomber, of the type that was used to destroy Mariupol (Ukraine).

On Saturday, Russian officials said that a drone attack on the Moscow area was “thwarted”.

In a press release, it was claimed that the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) had been halted and lost control by the electronic jamming gear. It then fell near Putilkovo village in Krasnogorsk.

This comes after an explosion which shook Moscow last Friday, when a kamikaze drone believed to be from Ukraine blew up a building only three miles away from the Kremlin.

The footage shows a smoke column and flames rising up from the Moscow Expocentre following the incident.

Ukraine is believed to be responsible for a series of drone attacks against military and government facilities in Russia. These are highly embarrassing to Putin’s regime.
