The Rock is accused by quoting Andrew Tate on Instagram video

Dwayne “The Rock”Johnson is being criticized for allegedly quoting Andrew Tate, a former professional kickboxer and internet personality.

Tate posted a video on his Instagram account on Sunday (7 August) in which he quotes his former WWE star.

“I heard this quote the other day that I want to share with you guys,”Johnson stated in The video.

He paraphrased the following. “The person who goes to the gym every single day regardless of how they feel will always beat the person who goes to the gym when they feel like going to the gym.”

The video jumps to Tate, who expresses the same thing except that he uses “man”Instead of “they.”

Social media users believed that it was a loss for the actor who became a wrestler to quote from someone with controversial views.

One user on Instagram wrote: “Rare rock (loss).”

“How has no one seen his misogynistic videos spreading hate and promoting rape culture?! Telling men to choke, beat and rape their girlfriends if they ‘fall out of line. Comments on here such as ‘he’s the best thing to happen in society’ wtf is wrong with the world,”Another added feature was calling Tate.

One third was so shocked by the video that he wrote: “Haha. This is wild.”

Others on Twitter shared similar views about the video with one writing: “I just saw an Instagram post where you quote Andrew Tate… sorry my friend, but your movies are no longer welcome here. That man is a threat to women.”

Johnson would not be the first to face backlash from fans for supporting someone controversial.

After he was attacked for misinformation regarding vaccines and the virus, he wrote a message of praise to Joe Rogan in February.

Rogan acknowledged that he was supportive of Spotify’s decision regarding specific episodes.

He also He said that he would book guests from all walks of life.

Johnson commented on Johnson’s post at the time and wrote: “Great stuff here, brother. Perfectly articulated. Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you.”
