The Partridge Family is getting a reboot in animated form.

The Partridge Families can be found in every ethnicity. It’s back, but with a new twist. The beloved musical family from the 1970s will be getting an animated look, thanks to Sony Pictures Television — Kids, according toThe Hollywood Reporter. New York’s five boroughs will be the focus of a new television series that follows a Black Brooklyn Bed-Stuy family. The family, while operating a mobile food service truck will be “serving up tunes and treats.” It was based on a similar concept in the original series. The original series followed a family on a tour across the country. After the first series, the majority of episodes were filmed in the home town.

The Partridge Family Originally aired on ABC for four seasons, the show starred Shirley Jones as well as David Cassidy and Susan Dey. Five compilation albums as well as a holiday CD were released by the Partridge Family.
