As a photographer traveled through an abandoned medical facility, his heart jumped when a closed door.
Daxward, the intrepid explorer in Bangkok, was shivering as he tentatively moved around the Navanakorn Hospital.
The clinic, which closed more than 10 years ago in Thailand’s capital city, has attracted the interest of paranormal researchers and photographers alike.
After funding dried up, it is believed that the hospital which once thrived was forced to discontinue treatment.
It has been abandoned ever since, with beds, wheelchairs and other equipment still adorning its rooms as a chilling remembrance of the past.
Central Recorder photographer Dax said that he felt “unsettling” while he was walking the dark corridors of the hospital.
Owner showed him around for 2 hours.
Dax remembered a moment when a door closed suddenly with a bang, despite being propped with heavy items.
He stated: “I was shocked when a door closed on its own as I took pictures of the operating room.
“My Malaysian friend Kay On had the same paranormal experience at the same time when he streamed live around midnight.
The door to the operating room closed on its own, which surprised him as well as his audience.
The images are disturbing. They show rusting equipment, blackened walls, and even a wheelchair that is perched at the end of a hall.
Other shots reveal the dull beige seats patients would have waited on and the uncomfortable-looking beds they would have attempted to rest in.
Dax said: “Even in daylight, the place had a spooky feeling.”
According to the urban explorer, the hospital even caught the attention of Thai horror movie directors.
He said: “The abandoned hospital has stood the test of many years.
The’morgue,’ as I call it, is just a facade. And the random bottles of liquids in the background are probably leftover props. But the bulk of the equipment was originally from the hospital.
A second abandoned hospital is now dubbed “the most haunted places on Earth”.
Some claim to have seen dolls with glowing red eyes and heard them talk.
Yorktown Memorial Hospital, in Texas, was founded by a catholic organization called the Felician Sisters in 1950. The hospital was originally used to treat those who suffered from alcohol and drug abuse.
It was abandoned in 1980 after 30 years.
The area has since been a favorite haunt of thrill-seeking paranormal investigators from all over the world.
And a psychiatric hospital has been left to rot for more than 40 years – despite being valued at an eye-watering £7million.
Great Barr Hall, a crumbling building in Birmingham that was once a beautiful structure, has now become the haunt of local criminals.
The hospital, known to the locals as “Maggies”, closed in late 1970s. It has fallen apart since then.
The iconic landmark was to be restored and homes built on the Green Belt.
The proposal was halted by local opposition, as hundreds of people opposed the plan.
