2021 was a rough year for the WWE in terms of releasing wrestlers, and it seems like 2022 isn’t off to a great start either. It is being reported that NXT 2.0 has seen the release of several employees who were previously WWE wrestlers. Among those names that were released are Road Dogg for the New Age OutlawsWilliam Regal, a former wrestler who has been synonymous with NXT for many years:
The WWE has confirmed that they are still in business as of this writing Fightful’s Sean Ross SappIt also released several backstage writers and coaches as well as staff members involved in NXT 2.0. The list includes ex-wrestlers who worked behind the scenes for talents like William Regal, Road Dogg and Allison Danger. After many years of service, Ryan Katz and George Caroll (creatives Dave Kapoor & George Caroll) were released. Hideki Suzuki, Timothy Thatcher, Danny Burch and Timothy Thatcher are all wrestling talent. Currently, NXT 2.0 has at least 11 employees who are no longer with the company. William Regal leaves NXT The most shocking news about wrestling of 2022 and may continue to hold that title by the year’s end. Regal was the on-camera General ManagerHe has been a talent scout on the show since 2014. He’s been around NXT for the rise of Many of the WWE’s current superstars, Becky Lynch is one example.Charlotte Flair and Kevin Owens are among the guests. Baron Corbin is also on hand. Audiences will no doubt miss Regal’s presence in NXT 2.0. NXT stars no longer with the company such as Johnny Gargano have highlighted how significant this loss is for WWE.

This is true for many of the WWE staff, some of whom worked with WWE for years before their sudden departure. Road Dogg (Brian Girard James), was one of many examples. He worked behind-the scenes following his in-ring stint in 2014. These are just a few of the notable departures made by WWE. This makes it so shocking.
Although it seems that WWE is going through a massive restructuring process, fans may be curious as to when. Restructuring is not a good idea.. We will have to wait and watch and wonder when WWE will finally stabilize their roster. NXT 2.0 is available at USA on Tuesdays at 8:08 p.m. ET. It’ll be interesting to see how the releases impact the show overall and what, if any reaction, may surface backstage from these near-constant shakeups.
