The engine of our WizzAir plane burst into flames, leaving us on holiday without power. We had to share a room and stay with strangers.

A PARTY OF THEM ARE STILL STRUCKING IN A FRANKFURT, ROOMING WITH OUTSIDERS.

Steve Fludder, 39, and Emma Bradley (39), had just returned from a week-long vacation in Bulgaria. They were scheduled to fly back to the UK on September 29th.

Steve Fludder, right, and his partner Emma Bradley, say they are among many stranded in a foreign country after their plane engine burst into flames

Steve claims that the WizzAir flight hit a flock before it got off the ground. This sent the plane’s engine into flames as it landed on the runway.

They are now trapped in a country in the southeastern European region, where they sleep on the floors of random hotels, trying to return home to Lancashire.

Steve, the owner of the wrestling company PCW had booked the last minute holiday through Love Holidays, a budget-friendly company.

The holiday was not all roses, but the 39-year old said that it took a bad turn as they had to leave Tuesday morning.

Steve stated to Manchester Evening News that as we were about to takeoff, the plane’s nose lifted slightly and it struck a flock.

“Not one bird. A big flock of birds. And the engine burst into fires.

“There were flames coming off the back of the engine and then the brakes hit like there was no tomorrow so it was like the biggest whiplash jolt ever. It was crazy.”

Steve claimed that Emma and he, along with 150 other passengers, were shuffled into the airport. There they waited for hours, before being informed that the flight had been cancelled.

They waited in line to find out what next steps were, and were informed by WizzAir staff two hours later that the earliest flight home was October 8.

Steve said that the gravity and urgency of the situation became apparent when he realized with the others that they would have to decide where to stay.

He claimed that the airline staff initially said they would find everyone lodging, but then they said that they might not be able to.

In six hours, Emma was with Steve in a hotel in Romania.

Steve stated that “it was only after 11.30pm, having watched our group cry for an hour, when the lovely manager of hotel found us an outof-service area.

“It wasn’t used, it was not a nice space.

“But they still gave me that room and gave me some food. They also gave us leftovers from the restaurant, so I had cold food.

“The hotel room was awful, I was lied to on the floor.

“I’m a big guy, I’m not really built for laying on the ground with a towel for a pillow.”

Steve said that Emma, he and four other people shared the small space – and might have to do so until they return home.

He claimed that this was what prompted him into contacting WizzAir. They claim they couldn’t help him.

Steve claims that he then inquired about accommodation. He was informed that passengers would have to pay the room.

He said, “I told the team they should help me and she’s like, “No, No, I can’t help but to make reservations.

“This is the WizzAir emergency contact number. What do we do?

“WizzAir should have given the hotel food. That’s what they’re supposed do. That’s passenger duty of care.

“We’re not asking for the world, we didn’t ask to be stranded.”

Steve stated that “My partner has absolutely crumbled in mental health, this is why we came out, we go on holiday to have a break.”

“You can just see she’s someone who is just worn out by anxiety, I just want to hug her and everything but what can you do – this has ruined the whole experience really.”

Steve said he does not know when he will be home, but claimed that he had been told there may be an opportunity for his party to board a plane to Liverpool.
