“The Conjuring 4” in the Works at New Line

As a sequel, the Warrens will return for a fourth consecutive time. “The Conjuring”New Line Cinema has a project in the works, an individual who is familiar with the project said.

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who wrote the third official film in the horror franchise’s lineage “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”Writers will return from last year “The Conjuring 4”; and the franchise’s long-time producers and filmmaking team James Wan and Peter Safran are also returning to produce.

While it’s expected that stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson would reprise their roles as paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren, no deals for the stars have been made just yet.

We are not able to reveal the exact details of the case or plot details for the fourth film. However, the films are based off real-life Warrens cases.

These eight films are available in “The Conjuring”Franchise have combined grossed $2Billion at the global box-office, while New Line is also in development. “The Nun 2,”A prequel spinoff which connects to the larger Conjuring universe. Filming is currently underway in France. Although it was the lowest-grossing film in the franchise, it still grossed more than $206 million globally.

Johnson-McGoldrick is a horror franchise veteran who also wrote “Aquaman”Its upcoming sequel “Aquaman and the Lost City.” He also wrote this year’s “Orphan: First Kill.”
