THE Chase host Bradley Walsh called out a contestant for her poor guessing strategy on Monday night’s episode of the ITV quiz show.
Kate, receptionist, was unsure how to answer a question about L. Frank Baum, famed American author. She had to guess.

She explained her guessing strategy and Bradley, 62 was not impressed.
Kate’s question was: “What was the birthstone of L. Frank Baum, the creator of the ‘Oz’ books?”
The contestant was presented with three options. The answers were either A: Emerald or B: Garnet.
Based on The Wizard of Oz’s Emerald City, Emerald might have been the obvious choice. However, Kate chose C. Ruby.
She explained her choice, saying: “It was between Emerald and Ruby, you’ve got the Emerald City and the Ruby Slippers.
“And I’ve already two ‘A’s, so I went for ‘C’,”She added.
However, Bradley quickly revealed the answer was actually Emerald, which proved Kate’s guessing strategy was way off.
“Please don’t base your answers on ‘I haven’t had A for a while, so I’ve gotta go B’,”Bradley was urged.
Kate seemed embarrassed by her strategy, but the two of them laughed it off.
“It got me through some exams,”She agreed.
Her comment left Bradley in stitches, and soon The Vixen and Kate’s teammates were chucking away, too.
Despite guessing wrong, Kate walked out of the head-to-head with £50,000, which she added to her team’s £10,000.
They lost the final chase to The Vixen.
