The royal family does not often make comments publicly about documentaries or films about them. However, they did tell the BBC how they felt about it. “The Princes and the Press” — which BBC aired at the end of the program.
This statement says: “A free, responsible and open press is of vital importance to a healthy democracy. However, too often it is overblown and unfounded claims from unnamed sources that are presented as facts and it is disappointing when anyone, including the BBC, gives them credibility,”via ITV News. Furthermore, The Daily MailReports claim that Prince Charles and Prince William are so outraged they have decided to boycott BBC. Richard Fitzwilliams (royal commentator) also stated that the Mail was being boycotted by Prince Charles, Prince William, and Queen Elizabeth. “The royal family have not been given a chance to view [the documentary] or to respond to any claims made in them.”
We just need to see what this documentary has to offer.
