YouTube had become the unassuming king and queen of music streaming in 2015, surpassing industry heavyweights Pandora and Spotify by a significant margin. Just over five years after its debut, January 13, 2017 was the date of its official debut. “Despacito”Luis Fonsi, a Puerto Rican singer, was able to make his mark on the world. This song, which combines reggaeton with pop, topped the charts in 47 countries. The Latin Grammy awarded it the Record of the Year and Song of the Year. The 18th Latin Grammys also gave the Best Short Form Video Award to the video.

Part of the Furious 7The soundtrack. This song was written and dedicated to Paul Walker. Walker was tragically killed in a car accident in the latter part of 2013. It was uploaded to YouTube on April 6, 2015 and includes themes from the film.

If you’re a parent, you’ve probably heard of Cocomelon. Cocomelon is one of YouTube’s most popular channels with over 124 million subscribers. This animated video features two children during bath time. There are many nursery rhymes that parents can choose from but this one is the most popular for Cocomelon.

This 6:52 minute video is one of the longest videos in the countdown. It’s an episode from a Russian animated television program. This episode is about Masha and Bear’s cooking porridge. It was uploaded to YouTube on January 31 2012.
Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars – “Uptown Funk” – 4.43 billion views
This video, which is probably the most popular song in the last 10 years has been viewed over 4 billion times. Uploaded on November 19, 2014, it shows Ronson and Mars wearing 1970s – 1980s style clothing more or less just walking around town and singing. At the Grammy Awards, the song was named Record of the Year.
