Ted Lasso Star Jason Sudeikis tries out new guidance as he coaches unusual synchronized swimmers in New Foo Fighters video

Jason Sudeikis has returned as a coach.

The “Ted Lasso” star and co-creator plays a different kind of coach in the new video for Foo Fighters’ “Love Dies Young” – one that is mean, sarcastic and vaguely Eastern European. Instead of instructing a talented group of British soccer players (soccer players), the coach is teaching a group synchronized swimmers, who have had the faces of the band digitally grafted onto their bodies. It is … nightmarish to say the least.

Sudeikis wears a blonde hair-and-mustache combination and a American flag jacket in this performance. It serves as an extended sketch that precedes the music video. The facts are these: this video will make you LOL even if you a) don’t watch “Ted Lasso” and b) don’t listen to Foo Fighters.

The Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl directed the clip. It was also produced by Nicholas Robespierre (see below) and Justin Diener (see below). The track is taken from the band’s recent LP, “Medicine at Midnight,”It was released earlier this summer.
