Taylor Swift’s fans complain that they followed all the right steps to obtain the access code needed to take part in the pre-sale for tickets on the Eras Tour, 2024. However, the vast majority received an email regarding a waitlist from Ticketmaster.
Taylor Swift announced new dates for The Eras Tour, as she returns to the United States following her conclusion of an international tour. Swifties registered on Ticketmaster immediately, particularly after the huge issue that the platform encountered during the 2023 Tour ticket sale. But, many claim they haven’t received the access code for the presale.
Waitlist email irks Taylor Swift fans
Taylor’s fans had to register on Ticketmaster by August 5 in order to enter the Verified Fans Onsale for The Eras Tour 2024 tickets. The code was meant to allow them to take part in the presale that begins on August 11, but they didn’t receive it.
Many Swifties have posted screenshots instead of Tickatermaster’s waitlist emails. Even though the code doesn’t necessarily guarantee the tickets during the presale and it only allows you to take part in it, Swifties are unhappy that they are being made to wait longer than expected.
The email from Ticketmaster to registered fans reads: “Right now you are on the waitlist for your selected show.
“There won’t be enough tickets for everyone who registered so a limited number of registered Verified Fans received a unique access code and others were placed on the waitlist.
“If any tickets remain, we may message you to join the Verified Fan Onsale.”
Swifties who are waiting for a presale code will be disappointed by Ticketmaster
As the above email states, only some of the fans registered on Ticketmaster for the Verified Fans Onsale have received the access code to enter the presale, so the unlucky ones aren’t happy that they’ve missed out.
Swifties who are disappointed make memes and jokes about their situation on Twitter/X.
One wrote: “Angry me looking at my Taylor Swift waitlist email like I’m expecting it to change.”
“It would have been nice to receive the verified code instead of the waitlist email from Ticketmaster. I just want to see Taylor Swift live,” said another.
A third fan shared: “The audacity of Ticketmaster to send me an email telling me about events near me after putting me on the waitlist for Taylor Swift 2 hours ago.”
“If I didn’t get an email from Ticketmaster after signing up for presale, does this mean Taylor Swift is personally coming to my door to tell me I’m on the waitlist?” read one.
