Taylor Swift has defended her lyrical skills on Monday, after Damon Albarn falsely claimed she “doesn’t write her own songs.”
During A recent interview with Mikael Wood, Los Angeles Times music criticSwift, the British rocker, was pushed back by the interviewer “an excellent songwriter.”
Wood stated that Swift wrote her own songs. Wood added that Swift was a true artist. “cowrites some of them,”Albarn doubled his down.
“That doesn’t count. I know what cowriting is. Cowriting is very different to writing,”He stated. “I’m not hating on anybody, I’m just saying there’s a big difference between a songwriter and a songwriter who cowrites.”
Swift condemned Albarn’s Twitter comments and stated that she used be “such a big fan”Blur and Gorillaz frontman.
