“Euphoria” “The White Lotus”Sydney Sweeney, actress, will star in a film that is inspired by the 1968 science-fiction film. “Barbarella”Jane Fonda was the star of that film, who is a person with extensive knowledge about the project.
The new “Barbarella”Sony Pictures is currently developing the film, but it is still in its early stages and has not yet been assigned a director or writer. Sweeney would however executive produce.
Fonda was portrayed by Barbarella as Durand Durand, an evil scientist from the 41st Century who seeks to stop Fonda. Durand Durand plans to use a radiation gun to bring back evil into the galaxy. This threatens all humanity.
The film directed by Roger Vadim, Fonda’s then husband, turned the comic series by Jean-Claude Forest into a stylized but also hyper-sexualized story, with Vadim originally approaching other sex symbols of the day like Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren to play the lead as Barbarella. Although it only made $2.5 million at the UK box office, it was still the most watched film. It has since been a cult film with ripples in science fiction, pop culture and fashion.
Sweeney and Sony have partnered on two other projects in the future, including the Marvel film. “Madame Web”That stars Dakota Johnson, and another package they purchased called “The Registration.” She’ll also star in a film called “National Anthem”Together with Simon Rex, Paul Walter Hauser, and Halsey.
Paradigm and Hansen Jacobson, Teller are represented by Sweeney.
