STACEY Solomon revealed that her friends thought she was a secret swiper after learning a key detail about her home.
The Loose Women panelist, 33, lives at her stunning £1.2million Pickle Cottage home in Essex with husband Joe Swash, 40, their two kids and Stacey’s two children from other relationships.
Her choice of foliage on the sprawling grounds raised eyebrows among her friends.
The trendy beige pampas was chosen by her to add a splash of color and a garden accessory that could blow in the wind.
Stacey revealed: “When I first started getting it, everyone said, ‘That’s what swinger’s use to let you know their house is open and ready for you!'”
After sharing her shock, she added: “I bloomin’ love ’em.”
Pampas grass was once regarded as a symbol for swingers.
It has been a popular trend in 2020 home decor, despite its popularity dropping when it was used as a way to indicate homeowners’ interest in suburban swinging.
Later, the urban myth was discredited. However, at that time, garden centre sales were down dramatically and this discouraged many gardeners.
California and Hawaii have banned the pretty plant. It is also listed as an invasive species.
Celebrities such as Dani Dyer and Stacey have used dried pampas to decorate their homes.
Popularity of pampas has been even embraced by designers like Sahar Kasiri over Christmas, when she uses them in many of her designs.
Elari Events’ co-founder and creative chief created a 9ft Christmas tree from pampas grass. It received over 30,000 likes on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Stacey revealed the exciting news they had found their £1.2million “forever home” back in March last year.
She has kept her followers up-to-date with all the renovations.
Previously, the DIY queen totally transformed her conservatory into a purple haven with £11.99 flower garlands hung from the ceiling.
She also gave their Wendy House in their huge garden a lick of paint, which is located very near to their swimming pool and hot tub.
She has displayed her amazing abilities. “cosy corner”Pickle Cottage continues her renovation of the Essex property.
