Both Abby Newman (Melissa Ordways) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are down on life right now but finding solace in each other’s friendship. Devon can’t believe what kind of mess Chanellor-Winters has turned into thanks to his rivalry with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). And Abby can’t believe how far south her life is going now that it looks like she and Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) may not be compatible after all.
Abby may be realizing that she might have been robbing into marriage. Chance and Abby don’t seem to get along well in everyday life. Although they enjoy adventures together, a desire to live in adventure-filled situations is not a prerequisite for marriage.
Dominic is invited to Devon by AbbyThe Young and the RestlessThey have a lot of fun talking and end up sharing a few kisses. This is not a good thing for two people already in relationships, but things with Chance aren’t working out and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has been out of town a little too long for Devon’s tastes.
Y&R Spoilers – What Has Gotten Into Abby Newman?
Abby feels her marriage is in danger and doesn’t know what to do. She gets too emotional when Devon, a similar-emotional man, admits that he would do anything for Abby or Dominic. That’s enough for Abby, who initiates the kiss.
“That’s all she has to her, and all of a sudden they’re in a passionate kiss,”Ordway stated this in the November 14, 2022 issue of Soap Opera Digest. “It definitely catches them both by surprise because it’s not anything that they had planned…but it is something they both need in that moment.”
What does all this mean for their relationship? Surely it won’t lead to anything more — at least not now. But Abby and Devon probably both hve a lot of soul searching to do now to figure out what — and who — they really want out of life. They might be headed in a completely new direction.
