Shanghai Disneyland Will Reopen Friday

Shanghai Disneyland has been reopened after being closed several times and then reopened many more times during the pandemic. It will resume normal operations on Friday 25 November. Shanghai Disney Resort announced that they would operate at a limited capacity daily and will implement the changes. “enhanced health and safety measures.”

The park most recently was abruptly shuttered in late October to comply with China’s controversial zero-Covid policy, leaving all visitors trapped inside for hours until they could show a negative test for the virus.

Today the resort stated that Friday’s opening will be at 8:30 AM (local time) and the Toy Story Hotel will also open. Some other resort parts were back online, such as Disneytown, Wishing Star Park, and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.

Some attractions and restaurants, as well as live entertainment, may not be available immediately, or they will have a reduced operating capacity.

It is still necessary to invite guests “strictly follow the pandemic control measures.” It includes proof of a positive nucleic acids test within 48-hours, temperature checks and a green Shanghai Health QR Code.

China is easing some of its control measures, including the reduction in quarantine time. But it still tries to stop Covid outbreaks.
