ACTRESS Sarah Jayne Dunn called on the NHS to be more transparent with moms-to-be regarding the risks of childbirth.
Former Hollyoaks star, 40 said that it took more than a full year for her to heal from a difficult birth that left her in constant pain.
Dunn claimed that her sex life was hampered and her body confidence suffered.
The celeb — who was axed from the soap last year for sharing raunchy snaps on OnlyFans — said she was “shocked”It is not uncommon for mothers to be sent home with very vague advice.
She told the Mother Bodies podcast, out today, of her struggle after son Stanley’s birth in 2016.
She said: “I didn’t feel like there was anyone I could really reach out to other than going to the GP.”
Stanley was stuck in deli-very and had to be rushed to surgery for an additional issue with her placenta.
The resulting scarring caused pain.
Four out of five mothers are able to use stitches for a cut or tear.
Dunn claimed that the NHS should give women all facts. She wishes she could have been more helpful “prepped”.
She went to her GP repeatedly, but she was only able to resolve her issues through strength training.
