Hugh Jackman & Sandra Bullock are the dynamic duo that I didn’t know I needed and will probably never get (at least not for now). The actress is taking a break in acting. Personally, I believe they would have made an amazing team! It’s because of the X-Men Actor revealed recently that he had auditioned to be a part of one Bullock’s best films: Miss Congeniality.
Interview with VarietyJackman said that he auditioned for the comedy and had to read lines with Bullock. He said that he didn’t want to audition for the film, but his agent made him so they could negotiate for another movie. He also said that it was his first audition with an actor.
It was the first time I’d tested [with another actor]. She was so impressed with me. I didn’t expect her to be in there. I’m guessing eight people she tested with.
He said that he was overwhelmed by the actress and was speechless. “not even vaguely up to speed,” with Bullock, noting that he didn’t know the script as well as he should have. He said that his agent believed the role would be easy to land, but it ended up going for Benjamin Bratt. The Wolverine The actor expressed his disappointment at losing the role and said:
That’s humiliating, when your agent says, ‘I don’t want you to get this job, but just go get it.’ And then you don’t get it.
Jackman wasn’t nearly as well-known as he was today when the audition came around. He auditioned for Miss Congeniality He just wrapped the first X-Men film, therefore no one knew Wolverine and therefore Jackman yet. At this point, the actor stated:
Nobody knew. ‘X-Men’ yet. I was a nobody.
Jackman worked on romances with actresses Ashley Judd, Meg Ryan and Nicole Kidman. Although, I’d Really, really, really He would be a great partner for Bullock. Miss Congeniality This would have been a great opportunity. Although I don’t drink tea or shade Benjamin Bratt, it would have been amazing to see Bullock & Jackman in the classic 2000s film.
Another reason I would love for Bullock and Jackman to work together is their shared history with Ryan Reynolds. The Deadpool Bullock and actor Bullock star in the romcom The Proposal 2009. Jackman would have been a star in the 2009 film. Miss Congeniality It would have been a great idea. the faux feudBetween the Deadpool 3 co-stars even better. Not only would it have been a hilarious coincidence, but based on Bullock’s sense of humor I’m sure she would have had some sarcastic and funny input on the feud.
Based on Bullock’s hilarious chemistry with her rom-com scene partners like Bratt, Reynolds, and most recently Channing Tatum in The Lost City(which can be streamed now), I’m sure she and Jackman would have made a stellar, and hysterical, duo.
While you can’t see Jackman and Bullock together (although I’m holding out hope), they have both been busy with various films on the 2022 movie scheduleThese are well worth a look.
