S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara rushed to hospital yesterday after emergency surgery last month failed.
The 43-year-old revealed she was on a drip in A&E at 4am in the morning as she struggled with the ‘worst pain yet”.
Jo told her worried followers: “When am I gonna get a break ?? My hope was that I would find my way to healing.
“4am this morning the pain was the worst it’s been yet! So here we are again ! I am devastated.”
Jo was forced to cancel live shows last month and had an operation to remove a disc in her back.
Later, she said that she is still suffering from severe pain. A scan revealed that she requires further surgery.
She said last month, “As can be seen I’m back on my bed.” It’s because her back is again playing games. It has been terrible and I received MRI results today that weren’t what I expected.
“I’ve actually got to go back into hospital for further surgery on my back which I’m absolutely devastated about to be honest.”
Jo has found it difficult to stay positive after the disappointing news.
Elle continued, “And it has been making me feel really quite miserable if you’re being truthful.
“I feel really down.” Although the last days were difficult, I am hopeful that with my next surgery I will return feeling strong and ready for another day.
Jo was almost killed by a strangulated potIn 2016, while on a tour in New Zealand.
Jo was able to overcome that terrifying experience by changing her lifestyle and quitting smoking. Then she suffered a severe back injury.
She shot to fame in 1999 with the pop band S Club 7, alongside Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens and Hannah Spearritt.
In 1999, the group’s first single, Bring It All Back was released. The song reached Number 1 immediately. The group went on to release four No 1 singles in the UK and an album that was No1 in the UK.
