RINGO starr was forced to cancel a performance after he became ill several hours prior to a gig yesterday.

The concert was cancelled by the Beatles drummer, 82, because of a voice problem.

Ringo’s spokesperson refused to say what the illness was but confirmed it was not Covid.

Fans were told by the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan, USA: “The Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band concert has been postponed. Ringo is sick.”

“Ringo is sick and was hoping to be able to perform, hence the late notice, but it has affected his voice.”

The Grammy-winning musician and his band spent two more weeks touring May and June with the nine-time winner. They resumed their North American tours last month.

It was delayed from 2020 after all dates had been cancelled by the pandemic.

Ringo formed the band in 1989. He has toured with 14 different line-ups over the 33 years that have followed.
