Footage shows the inside of Britain’s oldest working cinema which has reopened after it was saved from closing after 112 years.
Since its construction in 1909 from a converted taxi rank, the Electric Cinema has entertained film lovers in Birmingham for more than a century.
Its future was cast into doubt when the pandemic forced it to close almost two years earlier, prompting fears that it might never reopen.
Kevin Markwick, a businessman from Canada, intervened to save the historic art-deco house of pictures. The building has been reopened for its first time since March 2020.
