After the staircase collapsed, Reba McEntire, a 66-year old country singer was rescued from the building’s window. Rescuers helped to get the star out on a fire ladder from the window of the second floor.
Travis Mullins (City of Atoka Emergency Management director), stated that the stairs on the second and third floors collapsed, landing on the steps below. The building’s occupants were trapped by the accident.
MCENTIRE IN A RECENT BUILDING ACCIDENT
The fire department evacuated everyone from the house. Reports indicated that one person was transported to Durant hospital for minor injuries. Mullins’ report further revealed that every other person that was in the building was okay.
Sara Jackson watched the rescue team enter the building through her restaurant’s surveillance camera. She noted that McEntire looked fine and that she was relieved. McEntire’s business partner, Coby Sherrill, stated that the building was more than 100 year old.
Sherrill explained that she was scared and worried for the people downstairs at the time of the incident. Sherrill said that McEntire and McEntire were walking around the building, but McEntire didn’t notice how weak the staircase was until it collapsed.
While the pandemic shook the world, McEntire was loving up with her sweetheart Linn.

The video showed the country singer standing in what appeared to be an office at one of her many homes. As she stood before net curtains, she looked radiant. The room also housed one of her awards.
McEntire also recently posted a video where she tried the “I’m a Survivor” challenge. Her video went viral, earning about 3 million likes. In the clip, she took pails of food to her donkeys, which didn’t look like they appreciated her efforts.
The challenge, which was set to the song of her TV series “Reba,” started on social media with TikTok users showing the hilarious ways they survived daily. The majority of the uploaded videos showed people doing chores like laundry.
