Raygan Tyler was Fired on Below Deck Med

Raygan Tyler joined the cast “Below Deck Med’s” seventh season, fans were happy to see another female take on the role of bosun — the person who essentially rules over the deckhands and is responsible for keeping the ship running smoothly. Unfortunately, it appears as if Tyler couldn’t keep up with the demands of running the ship (via Us Weekly). Perhaps she didn’t even care as much as she thought. It was frequently filmedShe slackened off her duties and ate, as well as taking cigarette breaks. Whatever Tyler’s deal was, Captain Sandy Yawn had to deal often with the consequences for her slacking. Tyler disappeared from ship duties during one episode. Yawn asked why, and Tyler claimed it was because she had been sick. “food poisoning,”Yawn saw through this excuse (via MEAWW).

Raygan’s poor work ethic was not only detrimental to her, but also dangerous for the crew. “There was a point where you called three meters and I had less than a half a meter,” Yawn said (via Bravo). “And that can’t happen, Raygan. It’s dangerous.”Yawn ultimately let Tyler go. Even though it was difficult, Yawn admitted that she would have put more effort into Tyler’s training if she had the time. But the boat’s size and speed didn’t allow for this kind of one-on-1 effort. “If I had the time and I wasn’t running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you,” Yawn said.
