Rapper Kodak Black Arrested In Florida For Possession Of Oxycodone

Rapper Kodak Black’s extensive ledger of legal problems has another entry. After dozens of oxycodone tablets were found in his car during a traffic stop, the performer was taken into custody in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Police pulled the 25-year old rapper over in Fort Lauderdale for suspected illegal tinting. The police claimed that they smelled marijuana and searched his truck. The search turned up 31 pills, $74,960 cash, and the suspect was arrested.

The vehicle’s license and tags were also expired. Black was taken to Broward County Jail with the charges still pending. According to a report TMZ.

Black was born DieusonOctave, and later changed his name to Bill Kahan Kapri. He has been involved in numerous legal battles. His hits include “No Flockin” “Roll in Peace,”Since 2014, more than 30,000,000 singles have been sold.

According to various media accounts and law enforcement officials, Black was one of three people who were shot at the Justin Bieber After-Party in West Hollywood earlier this year.

Black fled the scene, but he called police from a nearby area to report that he’d been shot.

President Donald Trump commuted Black’s three-year federal prison sentence for falsifying documents used to buy weapons at a Miami gun store on his last day in office in 2020. Black had already served half his sentence.

In April, Black was sentenced to probation for assaulting a teenage girl in a South Carolina hotel room. Black accepted a plea deal to reduce the original rape charge, and pleaded guilty first-degree assault.

He was also accused of trespassing on a Fort Lauderdale property in the spring.
