Queen has gone to ‘great lengths to show her affection for Prince Harry’ claims expert

The Queen has “gone to great lengths” to reaffirm her affection for Prince Harry, despite the tumultuous events since he and his wife Meghan Markle left the UK and royal life, a royal expert has claimed.

Daniela Elser, a royal expert and commentator, has suggested that the Queen’s repeated and “rare” statements about the love for her Grandson shows a want to keep the family together.

“Still, time and again the Queen has made a point of reaffirming her affection for her grandson,” Elser wrote for news.com.au.

The commentator drew attention to the Queen’s statement after last January’s Sandringham Summit, where Her Majesty said: “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family.”

She hammered this home again this February, where she stated: “The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family.”

These two statements, according to Danielle Elser, show the monarch’s ‘great lengths’ to keep Prince Harry and his family as a loving part of The Firm.

Another royal expert believes that Prince Harry and Meghan are considering returning to the UK to celebrate Christmas with their children and the Windsors.

Author of Harry And Meghan: Life, Loss, And Love Katie Nicholl says that the festive holidays could be the perfect opportunity to help heal the family rift.

It comes after Meghan Markle’s father Thomas and brother Thomas Jnr hinted that they hoped to resolve their lengthy feud despite the Duchess previously telling Oprah that it would be “hard to reconcile”.

Katie told Closer magazine: “Because of Meghan’s work as a philanthropist, it doesn’t sit very well that she has no relationship with anyone in her family apart from her mother, Doria.

“We’ve seen her father reach out publicly in a bid to reconcile with his daughter and apologise on numerous occasions.

“Meghan does risk appearing unforgiving and uncaring of her father, who’s getting older and isn’t in great health. There are now two grandchildren Thomas Snr hasn’t met, which must be upsetting.”
