You might one day be playing games on your PlayStation 6 in years. What will this look like and when?
Below is a summary of what we know thus far about the PS6. It’s possible that it will be available before 2030.

Is the PS6 a real thing? Rumours, features
PlayStation 6 may replace the PS5 in some capacity, but it is still unknown.
Sony hasn’t yet revealed any plans for the PS6, however, that doesn’t mean they aren’t working on one.
We will likely see PS5 Spin-Offs in the future: PS5 Pro, PS5 Slim.
Sony executives have stated that the PS5’s life expectancy should be between six and seven years.
This is the closest thing we have to PS6 confirmation. It means that we will not see it before the second half of the next decade.
Although it’s not possible to predict what kind of graphics hardware the PS6 will have, However, the chips it will run on are not yet available.
We will probably have more storage than the PS5 – if that’s possible. Game In recent years, sizes have risen dramatically.
It’s difficult to predict what design and feature will look like.
It is possible to see virtual reality and PlayStation cloud games over the internet as well as built-in Bluetooth support for wireless headphones. We can dream.

Sony is known for being busy and has dropped a lot of consoles in the last three decades.
Also, it is likely that the PS5 will be spun-off before we have our hands on the PS6.
We could be seeing something three years from the PS5’s release, if the PS4 or PS3 is any indication. A spin-off console is possible in 2023 and possibly 2024.
To determine when the PS6 will be released, it is important to understand the difference between the generations.

- PlayStation to PlayStation 2 -> ~6 years
- PlayStation 2 to PlayStation 3 -> ~6 years
- PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 -> ~7 years
- PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 – ~7 years
This timeline would indicate that we can expect the PlayStation 5 to be released in six- or seven years.
This would place a PS6 release date sometime in 2026 or 20,27.
Sony appears to favor November launch for main console entry (just in-time for Christmas), so it could be a good idea for November 2027.
Also, it seems probable that the launch will take place within a week (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday).
Based on this information, what is an early guess? It’s Friday, November 12, 2027.
Of course, Sony could adopt a completely different timeline – so don’t mark your calendars just yet.
