Season 3 hasVirgin Riverfans on the edge of their seat. AsTV Shows Ace previously reports, at the time that Season 3 was wrapping up production, there was no word about Season 4. The stars of Virgin River recently make an announcement that changes everything about the Netflix series.
Based on Robyn Carr’s book series with the same name, Netflix viewers can’t seem to get enough of Virgin River.Without giving away too much, Mel and Jack give their relationship a chance.

Interestingly enough, according to anEntertainment Tonight interview, the show’s stars Martin Henderson (Jack) and Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel) were shocked to find out thatVirgin River was picked up for Season 3.
They discovered that Season 1 was no longer available for streaming. Not only that, but they’d just wrapped filming Season 2. Henderson said that it was surprising to hear about Season 3 after Season 1’s popularity.
Fans that watchedVirgin River Season 3 know that Mel and Jack are trying for a baby. This makes Jack’s life all the more complicated because he’s already expecting twins with his ex Charmaine.
The good news is Netflix picksVirgin River up for Season 4 & 5, according to Yahoo. Just yesterday (September 21st), the show’s official Instagram confirms Season 4&5. The announcement is a play of Jack proposing and getting down on one knee to Mel.
Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, there isn’t a concrete release date. As TV Shows Ace previously reports, there is speculation based on some things found on social media. The Watershed Grill shared on Instagram that they had closed on September 30th and 1st. This is significant because this bar is Jack’s bar in the show.
Another speculation is that Season 4 could be released in the Spring or Summer of 2022, if filming actually took place at the end of August, beginning September.
