Police Reported 3 Siblings Missing in Bodies Found in Private Pond

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the deaths of three sisters who were found dead in Texas’ private pond on July 30.

Temari Oliver, 5, Amiyah Hughes, 8, and Zi’Ariel Oliver, 9, were reported missing from their family’s house on State Highway 77, outside of Atlanta, TX, at around 11 p.m. on July 29, according to the Texarkana Gazette.

Texas Parks and Wildlife deputies and Cass County Emergency Services No. 2 responded to the call made by who authorities believe is a friend of the girls’ mother and searched the area, the Texarkana Gazette wrote.

According to the newspaper’s report, investigators found evidence that pointed to water on a nearby property about 200 yards from the girls’ house.

“A pair of shoes was found at the edge of the pond, leading investigators to search the water,”The Texarkana Gazette was informed by Sheriff Larry Rowe.

A dive team was called in and the three children’s bodies were found around 3 a.m. on July 30.

“We have no idea what the girls were doing there,”Rowe stated this to the newspaper.

According to the Texarkana Gazette, the sheriff said that assistance had been requested because of the investigation “needs priority.”

Investigators reported that the cause of death for the siblings is still unknown.

At this time, there have not been any criminal charges.
