Passenger says Carnival Cruise With COVID-19 Inbreak Was Like a Petri Dish

A few cruise ships were turned away from docks due to the Omicron variant spreading rapidly and increasing numbers. This is similar to the beginning of the pandemic.

After embarking on a ship that had a COVID-19 epidemic, one passenger felt trapped inside a petri-dish.

“I felt like it was definitely a super spreader event,”Ashley Peterson stated.

Peterson took the Carnival Freedom to the Caribbean. Footage captures lively passengers, many of them not wearing masks, eager for their dream vacation.

Peterson claims that passengers noticed a COVID-19 epidemic two days after the cruise began. Crew members began isolating.

Peterson said that a hallway was sealed off to prevent workers from being quarantined.

She said that COVID-19 was finally confirmed when they were not allowed to enter a Caribbean port.

“That was the first time they would admit that there was COVID on the ship,”Peterson said.

Carnival stated in a statement, “a small number on board were isolated due to a positive COVID test.”

The virus also affected other cruise ships.

Six cruise ships were affected by COVID-19, and thousands of people were banned from visiting certain destinations.

Austin Hamaway, a travel blogger, believes that he may have COVID-19 symptoms after cruising on MSC Seashore. The company has reported at least 28 cases.

Hamaway stated that as soon as they boarded their cruise, Hamaway had concerns.

“The dining room was very crowded. All the tables and the elevators are very crowded. They were jam packed. I was a little shocked by how crowded everywhere was,”Hamaway stated.

According to the cruise line, they are booked at a much lower capacity.

After a few of its employees were positive for the drug, passengers on a Holland America cruise were prohibited from visiting Puerto Vallarta.
