While things got pretty hectic for Daryl & Co. during the latest final-season episode of The Walking Dead, fans haven’t had to truly worry about Norman Reedus’ character for months now, considering it’s long been confirmed that the floppy-haired survivor would be crossing an entire ocean for His own spinoff sans-Carol standalone business. This series will now kick off its France-set production. The actor himself has gone public with the news. This update is coming on the heels TWDAndrew Lincoln, vet, spotted in Paris If so, it’s a whopper.

Norman Reedus Celebrates Daryl’s Spinoff Kicking Off

Hours after Sunday night’s episode of The Walking DeadReedus concluded by posting on Instagram from his other side of the world, telling us that progress is being made with AMC’s latest spinoff. Check out the actor’s post from his Instagram Stories below:

Pre-productions efforts are presumably being made in the past weeks and/or even months. Daryl DixonThe cameras are now rolling and have moved beyond the initial line. It’ll no doubt be a while before fans get any kind of finalized footage to savor, but at least now we know that far-off future isn’t VeryIt’s not as far as it seems.

One has to wonder whether Reedus was offering any cryptic clues with his spinoff update by way of using the Jane’s Addiction album Nothing’s Shocking. It was the group’s debut record, which ties into Daryl’s debut season of his own series. And it was also fraught with behind the scenes issues, which could sort of be a sign for Melissa McBride’s exit, although the exit itself was less controversial than the Reedus was targeted by fan backlashThe aftermath.

To commemorate the start of filming the actor also posted a picture of himself, even though only certain parts were captured on camera.

It is likely that Reedus kept his camera pointed down to avoid revealing any spoilers. Which hopefully means there was 100% something in the room with him that couldn’t be shown for that reason. Such as, say, a former co-star whose name rhymes with Sandrool Ninkun, and whose character’s name rhymes with Slick Slimes.

Walking Dead Fans Believe Rick May Show up In Daryl Dixon

To be fair Walking Dead viewers were already hoping for Rick Grimes to pop up in Daryl’s spinoff as soon as it was announced, during the span before the Rick and Michonne spinoff reveal went public. This was reinforced when Andrew Lincoln and Reedus were seen. Georgia: It’s time to get back togetherearlier this year. But such hopes and dreams were renewed in the days prior to Reedus’ post, thanks to a French fan sharing a pic he’d taken in Paris with Lincoln, as seen below.

Andrew Lincoln in this new avatar clearly doesn’t look the same as the burly-bearded survivor seen last blowing up a bridge. The Walking DeadBefore he was evacuated from the area by CRM helicopter. It is easier to believe that he was there for reasons unrelated to AMC spinoffs. It’s possible that Rick was forced to shave his hair while in prison (or whatever). The jury is still out on this.

Let’s not forget, however, that comic books can be found in a variety of formats. Rick Grimes has a brotherNamed Jeff, who lived in Spain shortly after the walker apocalypse started. So there is a valid reason for this character to be in Europe. Although I imagine that he would want to manage all his affairs in America before venturing so far. Judith could be a dad once again.
