This week, there was no hope of a Pussycats Dolls reunion after Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer announced that the group had cancelled its highly anticipated tour.
However, it appears that not only were fans blindsided but many others as well.
Some Pussycat dolls members responded to the announcement by saying that Scherzinger’s Instagram Stories post was their first exposure to the cancellation.
“We want to say how incredibly disappointed we are to learn of an announcement made on Instagram that the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour is canceled,”Your fellow members Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Jessica Sutta posted a joint statement on Saturday to their respective Instagram pages.. “As of now, there has been no official notification of that.”

Scherzinger posted a Friday explanation on Instagram, citing increasing COVID cases around the world.

“Thank you to everyone who had tickets to see PCD — we are so appreciative of your support and loyalty,”Scherzinger spoke in her Instagram Story. “With the ever-evolving circumstances surrounding the pandemic, I understand the decision that the tour dates had to be canceled.”
Scherzinger expressed her dismay, saying that she had invested a lot of money. “time, creative energy,”a personal financial contribution to the project. The group members ended the project with Scherzinger in good terms, but Robin Antin, who is also the band’s founder, shared her Instagram statement that criticized Scherzinger.
“Myself and all the girls have been waiting on the rescheduled reunion tour dates for a long time, all of us working so hard to make it happen,” Antin spoke in the post. “All of us have made personal & financial sacrifices, but that’s what it takes to be a team player in a ‘BAND.'”
“Let’s not forget there are five other members of this group who I care for deeply, who deserve to be heard … there are truths to this situation, I just hope one day they see the light,” Antin added — referring to members Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt.
Roberts, Thornton and Wyatt are yet to make a statement.
Insider reached out to Antin, Bachar and Scherzinger for clarification but they did not immediately reply.
This latest news comes as a result of a Los Angeles Superior Court complaint Antin filed against Scherzinger after the Pussycat dolls frontwoman requested it. “complete creative control and be afforded final decision-making authority,”He initially refused to join the reunion tour, until terms were changed.
Some fans have already bought tickets for the tour. If the tour is cancelled, it is not clear how refunds will be handled.
Live Nation representatives, the promoter of the tour, did not immediately reply to Insider’s request.
