Kron expressed concerns about the security risks posed by brain chips. He emphasized the potential vulnerability of AI brain chips, stating: “Any time we’re tapping into the brain directly, there will be a risk that it could be hacked and used to send signals back to the brain.”
Several other experts also warned about the dangers of medical device hacking, with Elon Musk’s Neuralink implanting its first device in a human. Despite Musk’s assurances, many remain skeptical about the implications of tapping directly into the brain.

Kron highlighted the potential threat of deception, explaining that wireless brain data flow can lead to manipulation of perceptions, creating a confusing and dangerous reality for users.
“I think one of the biggest security risks we would face with electronics interfaced into our brains is that of deception. Imagine having no way to tell if what you’re seeing before you is real or fake and the repercussions of somebody being able to control that perception.”
