Nasim Cambron is appointed EVP of Worldwide Publicity at Lionsgate

Nasim Cambron, executive vice president of Worldwide Publicity at Lionsgate, will be overseeing the motion picture public relations of the company. JP Richards (president and co-president marketing for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group) announced the news on Friday.

Cambron will report to Moore and will start her job Nov. 7.

Cambron has extensive experience in public relations strategy for consumer film campaigns. Cambron will be responsible for overseeing a team of earned media coordinators on a slate which includes “John Wick: Chapter 4,”Keanu Reeves stars “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” the prequel to the studio’s nearly $3 billion blockbuster box office franchise, “Now You See Me 3,”Ruben Fleischer directs. “Expendables 4;”The reimagining “Dirty Dancing,”Jennifer Grey stars and produces executive productions. “Ballerina,”This expands the “John Wick”Universe featuring a female-led action thriller staring “Knives Out’s”Ana de Armas and the next installment of the “Saw” franchise starring Tobin Bell.

Prior to joining Lionsgate, Cambron served as Executive Vice President of Publicity at STXfilms, where, overThe course of her tenure with the company,she led publicity campaigns for the studio’s films including “Hustlers,” the “Bad Moms” franchise, “I Feel Pretty,” “Molly’s Game,” “Den of Thieves,”And “The Foreigner,”Multi-platform releases, such as “Queenpins.” Cambron was also a leader of the studio’s DEI committee, working to implement inclusionary efforts and programs.

Previously, Cambron was a member of Netflix’s film publicity team, where she spearheaded and handled worldwide publicity campaigns including “A Fall from Grace,” Tyler Perry’s inaugural film with the streamer; the critically-acclaimed film “The Half of It,”Produced by the Duplass Brothers “Horse Girl,”Popular and “Kissing Booth”As well as series “The Old Guard” starring Charlize Theron and Michael Bay’s “6 Underground.”

Cambron originally joined Netflix in 2014, helping to launch some of the streamer’s earliest original programming as the platform expanded around the globe. Cambron was responsible worldwide for early hits shows, including “Narcos,” “Fuller House,” “BoJack Horseman”And “Grace & Frankie.”

Cambron started her entertainment career with NBC Page Program. She worked on hits like “Will & Grace,” “30 Rock,”And “Friday Night Lights”Prior to moving into film, she was a national publicity manager at Universal Pictures. There, she was instrumental in the launch of campaigns for such films. “Bridesmaids,” “Frost/Nixon,” “Rush,”And “It’s Complicated,”As well as “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “This Is 40,” “Funny People,” “Neighbors,” “Oblivion,” “Snow White and the Huntsman,”And “Ride Along,”With a focus on talent and filmmaker relations.
