TMZ reports that the homeowners found Melanie Rauscher’s body in the guest room upon returning home from their vacation. It was not clear if Melanie Rauscher had ingested the contents of the cans. Prescott Police Department officers reported that there weren’t any obvious signs of foul play. They also didn’t find any drug paraphernalia or suicide notes. Rauscher looked after the dog and he was fine.
The popular reality show on Discovery Channel featured the 35-year old. Naked and Afraid two times — once in 2013 and then on the spinoff Naked and Afraid: XL2015. Jeremy McClaa, a fellow castmate, posted a tribute to his fallen friend on his website. FacebookPage, in memory of Melanie Rauscher, for her friendship & laughter. In the post, he said:
She came into my life in a way I can’t explain. Our chemistry blossomed into a friendship beyond what words can describe. Her laughter was unique. Her friendship was extraordinary. Even tho we wasn’t blood, we was family. She was always there for me. There were so many times when we just wanted to be there for one another. She was my swamp wife, a best friend, a strong woman, an amazing person and I’ll always cherish our moments together. You’re gone to soon and taken from us to early. You’ll always be my Mel. I love you and I’ll see you again one day. A remarkable person was lost to the world. Keep her family and friends in prayer. My Queen, I look forward to seeing you again.
