Shocking: Fiance Vacuums Up Mother’s Ashes – Redditor Shares Devastating Story

A GRIEVING woman was shocked when she discovered her fiance had vacuumed her mother’s ashes. She left the relationship for dead after she found out what he had done. The 26-year-old explained a car crash had taken her single mom’s life nearly three years ago, leaving her and her sister “devastated.” She was shocked to see her fiance of four years, Ben, unwilling to be the support she needed. His mentality, she revealed, stemmed from childhood and philosophies passed down from his father. After her mom passed, Ben moved out of their apartment to stay with a friend “not even a full two weeks after” and her sister moved in instead for support. She explained that Ben’s “awkward attempts at comfort” would often make things worse. After his friend’s girlfriend called him a “sociopath” for leaving her to deal with her grief, it sparked a moment of realization. “Apparently that inspired some self-reflection and he started to see things from my perspective,” she said. “I wanted to break up at first and my sister agreed, but he begged for a chance to make it right. “I was so incapacitated from grief at the time I didn’t have the energy to fight. He took the initiative to get individual therapy for himself and couples therapy for us,” she added. “I could see he was making a real effort to change so overall we stayed together and eventually got engaged.” Despite her sister’s protests, the two advanced with wedding planning. That is until she found out about his grave offense. She explained that due to robberies at her sister’s place, the two decided to keep their mother’s ashes at hers, inside of an urn with her mom’s treasured rosary, along with other jewelry and keepsakes. Her sister had called her to request the plastic rosary as a memento for them. When she opened the urn, she was shocked to find a plastic bag full of sand. “The rosary was next to it. I opened and closed it three times hoping I was seeing things. Ben got home a little after me and caught me staring into the urn,” she wrote. “He immediately got pale and I just knew he had something to do with it. I went ahead and asked what he had done. I was actually pretty surprised when he didn’t try to lie and just dumped the truth in this big monologue.” She explained that Ben, a fussy cleaner, had insisted on cleaning up her mother’s memorial area while she was on a business trip. “I said I’d personally do…

He kept texting saying I was no good at dusting and he could finish it quickly so I wouldn’t worry,” she said. “I told him not to do anything and I’d take care of it. He stopped responding. When I got home things looked the same as I had left them. He apologized for being ‘uptight’ and said he didn’t touch anything. “He said he was just feeling anxious before so there was no need for me to clean the memorial when it wasn’t even dirty. I didn’t think about it after that.” Ben confessed that as he was cleaning, the plastic on the bag of ashes ripped and fell all over the carpet. “This man grabbed a vacuum and sucked up my mother. Then instead of returning them to the urn, he dumped the vacuum contents into the trash,” she said. “When I asked why he didn’t just return them to the urn after vacuuming he stared at the floor.” “He panicked and when I got home he reassured me so I wouldn’t pick up the urn. “The next day he literally stopped off at our local park and grab…
