The search for Daniel Craig’s James Bond replacement has been hot with multiple candidates reportedly in the running, including Regé-Jean Page and Henry Cavill. Bond producers have struggled to find a successor for the spy agency as they attempt to reinvent it. As one of There’s no time to waste’s breakout stars, the The Woman KingNomi stole many scenes from star. Lynch was thrilled to take up the role of 007, following in the footsteps of Black female representation. Fans loved Lynch and wanted more Nomi stories. Lashana Lynch shared her thoughts on the franchise, which is currently in flux. EmpireAlthough she wasn’t sure of her Bond future, the actress shared some interesting information about her current situation with Eon Productions.

There might still be some Nomi. This is a good development. Bond producers want Lynch to keep the 007 mantle going after Craig’s departure. This was understandable given that the spy franchise is undergoing a 21st-century transition. The future of the franchise may be female, despite ongoing searches for a Bond.
Lynch being under contract would allow fans to enjoy more takedowns, and Nomi’s rise. Lynch had the potential to take the beloved franchise in a new direction if she fought alongside the new spy. Ralph Fiennes (M)
When Dame Judi Lynch took over, Ralph Fiennes was the ideal successor. Skyfall. He managed to carry over the authoritarian angle while fighting to keep Craig’s Bond on track. Fiennes was a good MI6 chief. A few fans have questioned whether the Oscar nominee would return after Craig’s swan song. The doubts are not overshadowed by the fact that the Schindler’s ListHe argued that he should remain as head of MI6.
If Eon Films is listening I’m keen to continue training Bond. I love playing M. I also love being part this franchise. Who knows? Things must change. Daniel is an amazing person to work with. He’s an amazing Bond. It will be something I’ll treasure forever.
So, the actor at 59 is available for another. BondOnce the producers have settled on a new spy, he will be out. To help fans transition to the new series, it would be a positive for him to remain with the franchise.
Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny)
Naomie Harris reintroduced Eve Moneypenny as a field agent-to-M’s right hand in 2012’s Skyfall. Her appearance gave life to the witty secretary a whole new dimension. After months after No Time to Lose’s release, Harris ung on to hope that she will return after planting seeds of doubt about her future with the franchise.
Well, I don’t know if Moneypenny will be back. I don’t know. They could start it from scratch with all new actors. I don’t know what the future holds. However, I would love to be a part of this franchise. It has been an amazing experience. I’d love to continue to help and contribute.
Harris said that a new Bond could be a good idea for a new MI6 family. She’s still game to play Moneypenny again if producers decided to keep the remaining cast. As Fiennes said, it would be great for her to continue with the spy movie series to bridge the gap between Daniel Craig’s era of Bond and the new Bond.
Ben Whitshaw (Q).
Resembling Harris’ introduction, Ben Whishaw reinvented the tech-savvy research developer for a new generation upon his debut in 2012’s Skyfall. A new James Bond is usually a recruit for a different era. Bond producers being secretive doesn’t quell Whishaw’s doubt over his return as Q. Hopefully, he’ll be brought back for another film so fans can, at least, see how his story plays out.
Léa Seydoux (Dr. Madeleine Swann)
Léa Seydoux’s Dr. Madeleine Swann made an impression over two movies as James Bond’s most recent love interest from the Craig era. Despite the twist in No Time to Lose, she appeared to complete her arc by having Bond’s daughter. Given that she didn’t die in the end, her future with the spy film series is unknown. Seydoux spoke out about her possible return.
After all I’m not dead. Madeleine, not James, died. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be back. … I haven’t spoken to Barbara about whether or not Madeleine would make an appearance in a future Bond film, a lot has to happen before that stage is reached. Having Bond’s only child put her in a special place in the Bond girl pantheon. Driving into the sunset with her and Bond’s daughter might be a proper conclusion to Dr. Swann’s story. But, French DispatchStar believed that there was a pathway to her return.
This is fake news. But if we’re serious for a moment, Madeleine drives away with her daughter right at the end because James has saved them. There’ll be a new Bond because Daniel’s Bond died but who’s to say that Madeleine won’t be back?
Seydoux was able to pop up again because of the open-ended conclusion. It might not be in new Bond film, but having Bond’s daughter could lead to a story down the line.
