A 10-year old girl discovered that her mother had suffered a water break earlier than she had expected. She immediately called 911. Instead of waiting for first responders, she followed the dispatcher’s instructions to help her mother deliver.
Miracle Moore is a fourth-grader from Jennings in Missouri. She lives with her mother Viola Fair and her sister Taylor. The little girl had a normal day. Her mother went into labour three weeks early, and she was delivered..
Moore followed her mother’s instructions and dialled 911 for help. However, she didn’t realize that she would be helping her mother deliver the baby. Moore was able to manage the next step with grace and skill.
An emergency situation
Scott Stranghoener, dispatcher, received Moore’s call on Oct 23. He had no idea what would happen a few minutes later. “Hi, I think my mom is in labor,” Moore Submitted him.
Stranghoener notified the first responders about the Moore home but didn’t give up on the little girl. He guided Fair through the next steps in order to deliver her baby.
Moore left the door open to the first responders and followed Stranghoener’s instructions. She asked her mother for help, asking her to lay down on a flat surface. “I was scared,” Moore Confession.
Helping her Mother
Fair was in pain and found it difficult to lie on her back. Moore noticed this and reported it to Stranghoener, who suggested that Fair place towels underneath her mother’s head for additional support.
Moore’s surprise efforts to assist her mother in giving birth were cause for celebration.
Moore, a small girl, had never been in such a difficult situation before. But what she did to help her mother was extraordinary. “It’s OK, Mama, it’s OK!” Moore SubmittedHer mother.
Welcome Her Baby Sister
Moore found out her little sister was due to be born when she informed her mother and Stranghorner. Moore was shocked when Moore learned that the dispatcher would give instructions on how to deliver her baby. , “Huh?”
Soon, Moore’s younger sister was also bornFair wasn’t strong enough to pick her baby. Moore followed Stranghoener’s instructions and grabbed a soft cloth to gently wipe her little sister’s skin before wrapping her baby. Stranghoener For her:
“Be very careful, don’t drop the baby, OK?”
The First Responders arrived
A few minutes after Jayla was born, the first responders from Christian Hospital Emergency Medical Services and North County Fire & Rescue arrived at Fair’s residence, and Moore guided them into her mother’s bedroom. A paramedic revealed:
“We just picked the baby up first thing, wrapped her in a blanket, and yelled ‘happy birthday!'”
Then, Jayla and Fair were taken to the hospital by paramedicsMoore was also praised for her help in delivering the baby. The little girl did the unexpected.
Feelings of her Mother
Fair was also amazed to see her oldest child helping her after her water broke. She said that Jayla wasn’t her choice, but she was able to recall. Moore washing the baby’s skin made Moore feel relieved.. Fair Additional:

Moore’s surprise efforts to assist her mother gave birth deserves celebration. North County Fire & Rescue AwardShe received a certificate and was gifted goodies including a personal shirt, a tablet with educational apps, a notebook, and the pink storkpin that symbolises the delivery of a baby.
Moore received a certificate from the Christian Hospital Emergency Medical Services, to express her gratitude for her bravery. It was impossible to imagine a 10-year-old girl handling such a difficult situation.
