The Good Morning AmericaAnchor shared a video on his Instagram page, which showed a reenactment from a chance encounter Schall and Strahan at a New York City restaurant. That’s not the only celebrity cameo that took place!
What Happens If You Meet Michael Strahan in NYC
Michael Strahan is probably one of the most recognizable figures in America thanks to his wildly successful football career, not to mention the fact that he’s been a morning show staple for the last decade. He’s easy to spot with his impressive size and charming gap-toothed smile. That’s likely why comedian Robyn Schall had no trouble recognizing him during a pre-pandemic run in at a NYC restaurant.
Schall explained in her video that she was eating lunch at the time she went to the toilet. Her sunglasses happened to fall right next to the biggest feet she’d ever seen. Schall was determined to find out who the giant feet belonged too, so she looked up to see Michael Strahan staring down at Schall.
An awkwardly hilarious run-in with Fame
Strahan was leading the charge, while the pair finished their lunches. Schall followed him, until she caught up at a red light. Before she became nervous, Schall timidly gave him her business card. “You’re handsome!”
Schall was objectively correct in this statement, but she felt it was silly to use and fled. Strahan was headed in the exact same direction, which was a bit disappointing for Schall, but hilarious for all of us. Due to Schall’s short size and Strahan’s famously long legs, he was gaining on her, so she ducked into the first bar she saw.
Another chance to meet
She demanded a shot and martini immediately. An older gentleman sitting next to her at counter was enjoying a tuna sandwich and asked her if she wanted a shot. “rough day.” When Schall turned to answer him, she realized she’d inadvertently sat right next to Christopher Lloyd.
Thus ended the video, but it clearly helped jog Strahan’s memory. He shared the video via his Instagram page and added the caption. “You know what they say… If you have big feet… you have big socks LOLOL! Thanks to Tik Tok I now know who this mystery woman is!!”Hopefully Strahan found it enjoyable to learn about the chance encounter from another side. We certainly did!
