Max George is honored with a tattoo in tribute to Tom Parker, his former Wanted bandmate

MAX George, his bandmate from the late Tom Parker, has paid tribute with a tattoo.

The 33-year old singer marked Tom’s August 4th Birthday by getting a tattoo of Tom’s date of birth on the collarbone. This was a way to remember his fellow The Wanted star who passed away in March from terminal brain cancer.

Tom was only 33 when he died March 30, 2018, two years after being diagnosed in stage four of glioblastoma.

Max admitted that he was having trouble accepting Tom’s death in May. He said that he still text his pal following his death.

He stated that he was still processing it and still texts him. I’ll WhatsApp him any photos or messages that fans have sent to Tom.

“I just find a bit of comfort in that. The worst bit is when I’m not doing it and I do it accidentally. Sometimes I go to do it and I’m like, ‘Oh no’.”Max was full of praises for Tom’s widow Kelsey with whom he had two children.

He stated: “Kelsey’s been awesome. She’s always been really strong, like Tom. They were literally two peas in a pod. She’s raising awareness for glioblastoma and cancer in general, she’s been great. We talk quite often, just check in, make sure she’s alright.”

Kelsey, Tom’s wife and devastated mother, broke the news to Central Recorder in March. She said: “It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that Tom died peacefully today with his entire family beside him.”

“Our hearts are broken.

“Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.

“We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout. He fought until the very end.”
