Fans found out years later that John Bennett had been featured in an episode of the hit sitcom. He appeared in episode 18 of season 4 as Rachel’s boyfriend Joshua’s father, Mr. Burgin.

The episode follows Rachel’s date night with Joshua at his parents’ house. The two are pleasantly surprised to see Joshua’s parents return from their holidays sooner than expected.

When Joshua’s parents arrive, a seductively dressed Rachel waits on the sofa for him. On seeing her, Burgin says: “I like her, she seems smart.”

Keith Morrison is the actor’s stepfather

Matthew’s mother, Suzanne, has been married to Keith Morrison since 1981. Keith is a Canadian journalist, and a correspondent on Dateline NBC.

Matthew said to have a close relationship with his stepfather. He has nothing but positive things to say about Friends star.

Keith spoke about his stepson and said PEOPLE: “He’s one of those people who always is the center of the room for a reason and it was so as a kid.”

Gushing over Matthew, he added: “He was extremely, extremely good on the tennis court and very intense. He’s an intense, talented, focused character. He’s very bright. That was always the case as he was growing up.”
