Damon preferred to not consider having a baby a burden, and he liked that Barroso was a mother who put her daughter first. They began to date and in September 2005, the Hollywood actor proposed.

The ring was not extravagant, but the actor’s parents were married for 60 years. Damon’s mother eventually gave Damon the ring when he told him he was marrying Barroso.
