‘Masked Singer’Producer Argonon reveals Acquisition Plans and LA Focus

EXCLUSIVE: Masked Singer UKAndHard Cell Argonon, a super-indie company, is in advanced discussions regarding potential acquisitions of the West Coast. It has also moved its U.S. Development team to LA.

The move comes as CEO James Burstall forecasts the London-headquartered outfit’s “biggest year yet,” with a focus on M&A and West Coast expansion and 200 hours’ worth of production confirmed.

Burstall stated that a “strategic growth plan through international expansion and creative acquisition”The group will likely be enlarged before the end of 2022.

Deadline understands that there are discussions about possible West Coast acquisitions and partnerships. There will be more in the coming months and weeks. Argonon will soon move its U.S. Development team from New York to L.A.

Burstall and Shirley Escott are responsible for the West Coast Office, which opened in 2020.

Argonon recently acquired the UK brand agency Nemorin Film + Television, as well as new factual indie Studio Leo. It has eight labels. Masked Singer / Masked Dancer UKproducer Bandicoot Scotland and Netflix’s Catherine Tate-starring Hard Cellindie Leopard Pictures, which is also behind the BBC’s popular Christmas adaptation of Worzel Gummidge.

Argonon has revealed a new brand under its strapline. “The World Watches,” with a new logo debuting on New Year’s Day on ITV’s Masked Singer UK.

“Our new brand identity is the visualisation of our ambitions and aspirations, and our brand proposition is brave and exciting, capturing the breadth of our content, the diversity of our people, the globality of our business and the diversification of our business model,”Burstall.
