When Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), appeared in Spider-Man has no way home, fans of Marvel’s DaredevilSeries freaked out. Their freakout continued when Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) joined HawkeyeDisney Plus. Marvel was setting the stage for a rematch in the MCU by setting up the characters. Well, According to The Hollywood ReporterA Daredevil/Kingpin reunion may be in the works. Echo.
Kingpin and Daredevil are in Echo
THR reports that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have both joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus series Echo. The series will center on Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez, who made her MCU debut as the villain in Hawkeye.
We learned that Kingpin took Maya in when her father was killed by Ronin. Any show about Echo that is focusing on Echo should not ignore the fact she has close ties and ties to this iconic villain.
The report explains this. EchoThe storyline will tell the story of Matt Murdock seeking out an old ally. According to the hosts, that ally is Matt Murdock. The Weekly Planet podcastJessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is the host. You can find all the other details shared by the hosts here:
- Charlie Cox will be appearing in three episodes Echo.
- Daredevil will wear a red and black suit.
- Vincent D’Onofrio will appear in four episodes.
- Kingpin’s storyline will build up to him running for mayor of New York City.
- After Maya shot Kingpin in the head, Kingpin will wear an eyepatch.
Marvel has yet not confirmed any plans for either of these characters. With that said, it wouldn’t have made much sense to bring them back if they weren’t going to have prominent roles in the MCU. Presumably Kingpin was included in the Daredevil inclusion. Echowill establish the rumored DaredevilDisney Plus is rumored to be in the process of a reboot

Echo is coming to Disney Plus in 2023, but doesn’t have a release date yet.
