According to the manager, a man entered a California beach restaurant through the skylight. He then consumed several drinks and fell asleep on the floor. Workers found him the next morning.
Piero Sanchez, general manager of Baja Cantina, stated that the intruder caused significant damage while drinking top-of-the-line booze straight out of the bottle.
“It was a mess and cost us thousands of dollars,”Sanchez spoke to Jim Moret of Inside Edition.
Sanchez stated that this was the second break in within a week. After the first entry, surveillance cameras were put in place. However, staff had not anticipated anyone climbing onto the roof and climbing into the skylight.
Video footage showed the intruder entering the restaurant and smoking a cigarette before falling asleep on the floor.
Sanchez stated that workers called police to report the discovery of the intruder. He was taken into custody.
