Tomorrow, President Zelensky and G7 leaders will join Liz Truss, PRIME Minister, as Putin threatens to use nuclear war.

She will request that countries keep their sanctions in place and will call for a meeting of all NATO leaders within the next few days.

In the first gathering of all G7 leaders since Ukraine’s counter-offensive, which will also discuss the global energy crisis precipitated by Putin’s actions, she is expected to say: “The overwhelming international support for Ukraine’s struggle stands in stark opposition to the isolation of Russia on the international stage.

“Their bravery in the face of the most brutal acts of violence has earned the people of Ukraine global admiration.

G7 is currently working to finalise and implement an international cap on the price of Russian oil, which will further damage Putin’s revenue stream.

Zelensky addresses the G7 leaders via video conference at 1pm on Tuesday.

After Ukraine attacked a bridge connecting Russia and Crimea, Moscow launched a huge missile and drone attack.

Following the horror attack that left at least 11 people dead and 64 others injured, Ms Truss was joined by Zelensky on Monday.

The PM stated that the attack on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv was Putin’s desperation following a series of humiliating military setbacks.

“The appalling attacks on civilian areas in Kyiv and elsewhere are a clear sign of Putin’s desperation,”She spoke.

“Ukrainians are succeeding, and Britain will stand right behind them as we continue to provide vital military aid in Ukraine’s fight for freedom.”

Zelensky claimed that Ukraine counts on the UK “leadership in consolidating international political and defence support for Ukraine, in particular regarding the protection of our skies”.

Ukraine has increased calls for Western allies in order to provide antiair and antimissile systems as a response to the attacks.

Kyiv was targeted Monday for the first-time in many months.

Russia also attacked playgrounds, bridges, and civilians throughout the country, from Kharkiv in east to Lviv near Poland’s border.

Putin said that the strikes were in retaliation to Ukraine’s attack upon the Kerch Bridge. This bridge, which crosses Russia and annexed Crimea, is strategic and symbolic.

He stated that if Ukraine continues to increase, “terrorist attacks”Russia: The Kremlin’s Response “tough and proportionate to the level of threats”.

Attack on Kyiv was accompanied by explosions in Shevchenko District, the central part of the city that includes the historic old Town and several government offices.

“Russia’s firing of missiles into civilian areas of Ukraine is unacceptable,”He said.

Tom Tugendhat, Security Minister, also added: “Targeting civilians is a vile act. Russian war crimes start as a record of failure and disgrace.”

Sir Keir Starmer, Labour leader, called the Russian attacks “unjustifiable”.

“The UK is firmly united in condemning Putin’s latest wave of violence and destruction,”He said.
