Law and Order: Organized crime is bringing a guest star franchise back to help fill the Dylan McDermott Void

Law & Order: Organized Crime’s cast may be losing one star, but now another is on the way in Season 2. Dylan McDermott has been playing the role of Richard Wheatley, a criminal mastermind. Law & Order series will replace Julian McMahon FBI: Most Wanted. To help fill the void that will be left by McDermott as he’s chasing down criminals on CBS, NBC is bringing back franchise vet Jennifer Beals in a recurring role.

Jennifer Beals is set to portray the wife of Mykelti Williamson’s Preston Webb, a drug kingpin who was introduced earlier in Law & Order: Organized CrimeAccording to Deadline. It’s unknown how big of a part her role will be, but with Dylan McDermott presumably leaving the Law & Order Series FBI: Most WantedFans can probably expect to see her in public a lot.

This isn’t the actress’ first time in the Law & Order franchise. Beals was a guest star on Season 17 of the original series in 2007. “Charity Case.”It was only a one-episode guest appearance, so it will be great to see her again. There is currently no word on what episode Beals will first appear in, but hopefully it’s soon.

Other than the Law & OrderBeals is currently the Garsa Fwip star in franchise The Book of Boba FettDisney+ and starred on Taken, Swamp ThingLucilia Cable The L Word: Generation QShe also served as co-executive producers in 2019 on the film. Beals is featured in the upcoming Netflix movie The Luckiest Girl alive as well as 2019’s After, 2017’s Before I Fall and 2006’s The Grudge 2, and many more.

The news about Jennifer Beals’ recurring role comes just under a week after the news of Julian McMahon departing FBI: Most WantedFor “additional creative pursuits,”This was quickly followed up by the news that Organized CrimeDylan McDermott, a Dylan McDermott character, would switch networks and characters within one TV universe. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. OCMcDermott will end his run as Wheatley. However, he is expected to make his debut in the new FBI agent role prior to the end of the current TV Season. Most Wanted.
