KATE GARRAWAY got more than she bargained for on ITV’s DNA Journey.
The Good Morning Britain host, who appears alongside Alison Hammond in tomorrow night’s episode, found she has family links to two Bonds – Paddington creator Michael Bond and James Bond, via 007 creator Ian Fleming.
After meeting her cousins for the very first time in London, Kate discovered one, Karen, is the daughter of children’s writer Michael.
She learned that her ancestor was an elite T-Force soldier during World War Two while on a Jamaican vacation.
This was the inspiration for Fleming’s screen spy.
A show insider said: “Kate was dumbfounded.
“She never expected the show would come up with so many revelations.”
Alison later joined Kate in Jamaica, where she was born to her late mother.
She found out about the personal sacrifice of her three-times great-grandad, who played a part in helping to improve people’s rights.
It sounds like an emotion watch.
