I don’t know who you follow and/ or obsessively stalk on social media, but if the list doesn’t include Julia Fox, you need to do some soul-searching and figure out where things have gone wrong in your life. The ex-girlfriend of Kanye West Uncut GemsStar is amazing in the most bizarre and artistic ways. This past week, she made a dress from leaves.
Allow me to clarify for a second. The inspiration for the dress she created was not from leaves. Julia Fox walked around New York looking for leaves and brought them back to the studio. Emma Fujiko was there to help her with some resin and a hot glue gun. Obviously the end result is a stunner, though she says probably won’t be able to wear it in public because her “booty (is) all out in it.”It was a great idea and she was generous enough to share it on TikTok. In the time since, she’s continued to generate headlines through her bold fashion choices and eccentric lifestyle, which has included wild moments like getting into a fight with a friend who Her Birkin Bag was destroyed with a machete.
Obviously, the leaf dress isn’t the most functional thing in the world, especially not as a fall outfit in New York City. Fashion can be more than functionality. Fashion can also be about having fun, making art, and working together on a project with a friend who brings you together. As such, I am eager to see the next Julia Fox creation.
